2012 Hyundai Elantra Named "Car of the year"

One of the the most prestigious car award given out annually, is the "North American Car of the Year" award. Every year, a panel of 50 independent judges decides, which car gets the honor and announce the winner at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The judges consider a wide range of criteria and candidates, each of which look to exemplify what a solidly-made vehicle should be. There are actually no specific categories to this award, but only 2 categories: Best car and the Best truck. The latter segment includes all SUVs and crossovers vehicles.
